FISCAL LAW

Michel & Partner's "Laws"

At a time of ever-increasing tax pressure and ever-more complex legislation, our presence and advice in tax law are becoming ever more essential, both for your business projects and for your personal and estate plans.

Our role is to be involved from the earliest stages of your professional projects, when setting up or acquiring a business, in order to determine the most advantageous legal and tax regime to suit the activity, prospects and profitability of the structure.

This simply involves choosing the most appropriate legal and tax structure(s) or, more complexly, setting up an optimization scheme to make the most of the tax niches available to you.

If you wish to pass on your business or personal assets, you need to think ahead, as transferring them to a third party or to your close relations, by way of sale or gift, can prove very costly from a tax point of view (registration duty, capital gains tax, etc.).

Legislators have introduced a number of mechanisms to reduce the tax impact of certain transactions.

Tax auditing also involves putting yourself in the shoes of a potential tax inspector in order to identify tax risks in the event of a tax audit, and to correct accounting and tax returns where necessary.

Finally, as the French tax system allows taxation of assets alone, optimized tax management and, in some cases, asset reorganization will help reduce the tax burden on your assets.

A comprehensive annual contract for your tax and social security audits :

Take out a simple, comprehensive and advantageous annual contract: in the event of a tax or social security audit, assistance is covered in full*. No more extra costs and stress in the event of an audit. Your MP's advisor takes care of everything in the event of an audit.

*Excluding any litigation, fees for restoring accounting order for financial years for which Michel & Partner's (or a firm integrated by Michel & Partner's) has not closed the accounts, or transactions not declared to the authorities.

An advisor always at your side :

Your Michel & Partner's advisor is the permanent contact for the tax or social security auditor :

  • He will be present during the first visit
  • He will then be vigilant in answering all your questions and requests.
  • He will take part in the contradictory summary interview, during which the auditor presents any proposed adjustments, which your advisor can immediately contest.
  • It then responds to any notification of reassessment and, if necessary and appropriate, refers the matter to the controller's superior to obtain reassessment reductions or cancellations.

So you can continue to do business with peace of mind.
